Will Falk Presentation

March 12, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free
Will Falk, a lawyer, environmental activists and author of “How Dams Fall, will be speaking at the Roseburg Public Library in the So. Umpqua Room on March 12 from 6- 8 pm.
The event is hosted by Community Rights Douglas County and sponsored by the Oregon Community Rights Network.

The community rights movement pursues a local community, self government approach to enable its citizens to protect their fundamental rights and protect them from corporate harm. It seeks to put in place stronger protections than those currently recognized at the state, federal and international level.

Falk, an attorney, was involved in a groundbreaking lawsuit seeking person hood and rights of nature for the Colorado River.

Before speaking for the Colorado River in court, he spent weeks traveling the river to better understand it. His book explores the American culture, as well as his own personal relationship  with the river. It is an intimate conversation between a human and a river. It is also a brutal and honest essay about the river’s wounds.

Please join Community Rights Douglas County on March 12 for this special  opportunity to hear Falk and learn how to help rivers live .

Admission is free.
