Twin Lakes Hike (Oregon WIld)

August 17, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

$10

Saturday, August 17, 2019
Umpqua National Forest (carpools from Eugene)

Hike through meadows and ancient forests recovering from a recent fire to reach two spectacular lakes.

Difficulty: Moderate

Distance: 5.6 miles
Elevation Gain: 800 feet
Leader: Chandra LeGue
Location: Umpqua National Forest (carpools depart Eugene)

Twin Lakes are nestled in the heart of the large roadless area included in the proposed Crater Lake Wilderness south of the North Umpqua River. The area offers a sampling of the best of the region: spectacular wildflower meadows, old-growth trees, mountain views, and ancient forests recovering from a 2017 fire.

Co-sponsored by our friends at Umpqua Watersheds.

Help Oregon Wild continue to provide high-quality, guided hikes into Oregon’s spectacular wildlands by making a small donation in the options below.
