Martin Luther King Day of Service

Umpqua Watersheds is organizing the annual Martin Luther King Day of Service to recruit volunteers in an effort to clean trash from the area near our waterways. The scheduled event is January 16th, 2023 from 10 am to 2 pm. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Stewart Park Pavilion in Roseburg, Oregon to receive instructions and materials for a river cleanup.

If you are unable to make it to Roseburg, just take an hour or two to pick up trash along the nearest waterway. Respect private property, take care of yourself by wearing gloves, good footwear, long sleeve shirt and long pants, as well as warm clothing. Don’t pick up anything dangerous or too heavy.
