Last Creek Backcountry Hike

Hike leader: Umpqua Watersheds Wilderness Committee
Description: 5 miles round trip, elevation gain approximately 1600’
Areas of Interest: The trail travels to the top of Vision Butte going through a heathy understory burn until it begins to climb through a lush, old growth forest to the peak of the mountain. Wildflowers are in bloom along the trail. There is a beautiful 360 view from the top of the butte. This area is within the boundaries of the Crater Lake Wilderness Proposal.
Meet/Carpool Info: Meet at the Fowler Street parking lot (junction of Fowler Street & Hwy. 138 across the street from the Roseburg Library at 9:00 am. We can carpool.
If you’re in South Douglas County meet at the Tiller Ranger Station at approximately 10:00 AM.
Bring: Bring water & lunch, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray. Be prepared with appropriate footwear and rain gear.
