Fascination with Wildlife
January 23, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Naturalists Dale and Elva Paulson will present a new digital program titled “Fascination with Wildlife.” It includes beautiful images of wildlife and many stories about bird and mammal behaviors common in nature but seldom seen. Some examples are: a coyote hunts a vole under deep snow by sound, a vicious sandhill crane attack on the ground, a surprising way great egrets and osprey catch fish, and a grizzly bear who surprised the people watching.
Both Dale and Elva’s fascination with wildlife began in early childhood when wildlife was part of their daily life. They have spent thousands of hours photographing, sketching, and studying wildlife behavior. Elva is an accomplished wildlife artist, the illustrator of OSU’s book, “Birds of Oregon: A General Reference” and more recently she published, “Yellowstone Sketches: Glimpses of Yellowstone National Park.” The Paulsons have been photographing wild things since 1971 and have been presenting wildlife related shows since 1979.
The program starts at 7 PM, Thursday, Jan 23, 2020 at the Ford Room in the Roseburg Public Library, Roseburg, Oregon.
