LUCY seeks to raise awareness of the climate crisis while demonstrating that clean energy and climate solutions can work for the Umpqua Valley.
About the League of Umpqua Climate Youth
The League of Umpqua Climate Youth (LUCY) is UW's newest committee, started by Roseburg High School student Alex Loznak in 2014. The committee consists of Douglas County youth who aim to spread awareness about the climate crisis while demonstrating that clean energy and climate solutions can work in the Umpqua valley. At the heart of their efforts is the Solarize Our Schools (SOS) campaign, which hopes to see solar panels on every Roseburg school in the future.
Umpqua Watersheds is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
